Rose Charities and FDCC Cambodia have joined forces to identify students from rural Prey Veng province in need and to bring them to the attention of donors across the world!!

The Rose FDCC Education Sponsorship program has been operating in Cambodia since 2010. Founded by Sarah Wilson (Rose Charities Australia Director) and Mr Rady Sok (FDCC Cambodia), currently 7 students have been sponsored to study at the Prey Veng Town Campus of Chea Sim University of Kamchay Mear (CSUK).

The Rose Charities’ main education sponsorship program begun in Sri Lanka, where all ages are sponsored in a major program which covers sponsorship and ECCE (early childhood care and education). In Sri Lanka, for college/university level education, Rose Charities works closely with the organisation Education Generation to help gain sponsorship for students by engaging sponsors on a world-wide basis using the internet as a primary vehicle.

There are many deserving students in Cambodia who have been brought to Rose’s attention. The socio-economic realities of rural Cambodia results in many needing assistance. In particular, Rose has identified students desperately in need of sponsorship from the Access For All project which has established a Supportive Home in Prey Veng Town for students with disabilities. Any direct donations to this program are clearly most welcome. Students are carefully selected according to their needs and undergo a strict interview process to ensure they have the support from their families to finish their studies with monetary assistance.

The program is currently expanding to assist both community students and disabled students from the Access For All project that are in need and in the future hopes that students from Mekhala House, a home for underprivileged children, particularly girls, will also be brought under the Rose-FDCC Education Sponsorship program.

Please see our student profile page to see which students we have sponsored and others that are currently in need of funds, contact Sarah at if you can help in any way or would like more information.
